Interpublic Names Marjorie Altschuler EVP, Chief Growth Officer

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 2005--The Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) announced today that Marjorie Altschuler will be joining the company as Executive Vice President, Chief Growth Officer. Ms. Altschuler will assume the task of building on Interpublic's organic growth and collaboration initiatives. She will work with the company's business units, providing expertise, resources and tools for their business development efforts focusing on opportunities to grow relationships with existing clients, as well as pursue new clients. She will report to Michael Roth, Chairman and CEO of Interpublic.

Most recently, Marjorie was Chief Growth Officer of the McCann Worldgroup. In that role, Marjorie directed efforts that brought in record business growth from both existing and new clients for the network.

She joined McCann Erickson New York in 1994 as a Senior Vice President to form and head the agency's new business area. In 1997, she was promoted to Executive Vice President and named New Business Director for the North American region. Her 20-year career also includes significant experience in strategic planning and account management. Prior to joining McCann she was with J. Walter Thompson, Citibank and Foote Cone & Belding in New York.
